One: Getting to know you

You will be spending a lot of time with your Prestige housing consultant during the first few weeks of planning your home. In the initial meeting with your housing consultant, we will explain how the home buying process works with Prestige. We will go over, start to finish, what you should be expecting. We will let you know what you will be responsible for completing and also what we will take care of.

Two: You choose your home
|
Stone's Prestige Home Center gives you the flexibility to choose your own home design. You have the choice to take in your own home plans, to use one of our pre-designed home plans, or to completely start from scratch. We also have access to a 3-D Architectural Drawing program that lets us draw your home for you. This program is very helpful to get the full effect of your home as to the room sizes, placement of windows, etc. and to give you a look at your home long before it is constructed.

Three: You select the finishes
|
Once you have settled on a design for your new home, you now get to choose your flooring, cabinetry, windows, siding, shingles, etc. We have a large variety of name brand products for you to choose from. Your Housing Consultant will be available for you through this exciting process if you need any assistance or just a second opinion.

Four: Your home is built and your site is prepared
|
Once all of the decisions have been made and all the contracts have been signed, the construction of your home will begin. You will be in close contact with our Site Manager at this time. He will be the one who determines when your home will be delivered and ultimately when it will be completed. He will also be in charge of getting your site ready for the driveway, foundation etc. and organizing the contractors to come to your new home for all the site finish work.

Five: Your home is brought to your site and completed
|
You will know the exact date your home will be delivered. Once the home is situated on the foundation the site work can begin. This consists of crackfilling, drywalling, electrical and plumbing connections, porch construction, etc. Once your home is completed, there will be a final walkthrough. This will take place with you, your housing consultant and the site manager. You will walk through your home and make sure that everything is perfect before you move in and this also gives your housing consultant a chance to let you know how everything in your new home works.

Six: Moving Day
|
Once the walk through has taken place you are free to move into your new Prestige Home! At this time we will send out warranty papers for you to sign for your Atlantic New Home Warranty to take effect and also, you have a full warranty with Prestige for the first year.
